Descrizione progetto:

My Health Assistant is an application designed to be a healthcare virtual assistant. It keeps track of what medication you have to take, when you need to take it, if you took it and what to do if you miss a dose. It also stores all of your pertinent healthcare information, such as insurance card details, doctor's phone number, pharmacy info, etc. The medical journal keeps track of your health activities and it allows you to add your own entries. This can be useful information when you are talking with your doctor. Instead of trying to remember what went on in the past six months, you can pull up exactly what happened and when. Finally, if you are on the road and you get sick, you can let your doctor know which pharmacy is closest to your location so that you can get a precription called in. This is possible through the use of GPS location on you device.

Uso degli strumenti/SDK Intel:

I did not use any of the Intel tools or SDK but I did extensively use the Intel-provided testing hardware.

Funzioni peculiari:

The application uses GPS location tracking to identify the nearest pharmacy when you are on the road. I can also use that same location to identify the nearest emergency services. In either case, the address, phone number and a map of the location is provided.

Lacune/aree di miglioramento dell'applicazione:

This app was requested to be a desktop app (not Metro) but there is not a way to easily get a desktop app to market (no store, etc.) It would be helpful if we could create Windows Store apps right away. What I am doing now is converting my desktop app over to be a Windows Store app so I can sell it.

Tipo di progetto:

Windows* 8 Store
