The Intel® VTune™ Amplifier provides a command line interface, the amplxe-cl tool, that is especially useful for remote analysis, scripted commands and conducting regular performance regression checks to monitor software performance over time.
The amplxe-cl command line interface provides an extensive set of options that allow you to perform almost every task that might be performed through the GUI. You can initiate analysis via the command line, running it as a background task or on a remote system, then view the result or generate a report at your convenience.
Use the amplxe-cl tool to:
Collect performance analysis data for your target application using your specified analysis type and other options.
Generate reports from analysis results.
Import
*.tb6files.Compare performance before and after optimization.
Note
When you perform a task through the Intel® VTune™ Amplifier GUI or Microsoft Visual Studio*, you can use the command generation feature to display the corresponding command and save it for future use.
