The Intel® Advisor Standalone GUI is available:
On the Microsoft Windows* OS: From the Start menu, choose All Programs> Intel Parallel Studio XE> Analyzers> Intel Advisor XE 2015.
From a command line on Windows* or Linux* OS systems. Type the advixe-gui command and optionally specify a path to one of following:
Full (absolute) path to a result file (*.advixe)
Full path to a project file (config.advixeproj)
Full path to a project directory. If there is no project file in the directory, the Create a Project dialog box opens and prompts you to create a new project in the given directory.
On Windows systems, if the path contains embedded spaces, enclose it in quotation marks.

Before you use the advixe-gui command, set up your command line environment (use the link below under See Also).
If it is not displayed, to view the Welcome Page, click View> Show Welcome Page.

Use the Welcome Page to create a new project, view the Current project (already open), open a Recent project (or any existing project), and view the Intel Advisor Getting Started page.
After you open a project and its result, view the Intel Advisor product GUI.

The menu, toolbar, Advisor Workflow, and Project Navigator offer different ways to perform many of the same functions. |

| After you open a project, its name appears in the title bar. Use the menus to create and open projects; set various options; and open the Intel Advisor Getting Started page and the Help. |

| Use the toolbar to open the Intel Advisor Getting Started page, create or open projects, specify project properties, create and open results, open or close the Project Navigator, and view a summary report. |

| Click the Project Navigator button to display the Project Navigator tab. Use the Project Navigator: Tree diagram to see a hierarchical view of your projects and results based on the directory where the opened project resides. Context menus to perform functions available from the menu and toolbar. You can also delete or rename a selected project or result, close all opened results, and copy various directory paths to the system clipboard.

| Use the result tab to view the data collected by Intel Advisor tools. There is one active result for each project. You can also create read-only result snapshots. To display a context menu, right-click the displayed data or code in the various result windows. |
To maximize the size of the Intel Advisor Standalone GUI window, press the F11 key or click View> Full Screen. To return it to its smaller size, press F11 or press Esc.
